Divide an Open Space with Fabric

05/02/14, by Cate Seiser

We love homes with open floor plans, but sometimes you need a little more division than you have architecturally. In this week's eNote, we'll show you how to create a customizable room divider that defines your space and your style!

All you have to do is sew a couple of panels from fabric of your choice, and add pockets at the tops and bottoms to accommodate aluminum rods. Then, you'll simply suspend the upper hanging rod from ceiling hooks using thin cables. The result is a visual barrier between two zones that doesn't take up any floor space at all.
