About My Home My Style

Whether you’ve lived in your house for a few months or a few decades, My Home My Style will help you make it feel more like home. Our pages are packed with inspiring ideas, practical projects, and makeovers made easy — plus the instructions and information you need to DIY!

The My Home My Style brand evolved out of Workbench magazine in 2010, and for two years, content was provided through a printed bimonthly magazine. In 2013, the brand relaunched as a solely digital publication with a model unlike that of any other home decorating publication. Content is packaged in smaller, more frequently published (biweekly) DemiZines.

What’s a DemiZine? My Home My Style’s parent company, August Home Publishing, coined the term DemiZine to represent a small (demi) magazine. Parallel to that, it can be considered an acronym for “digital edition multimedia interactive magazine.”

We aren’t just talking about a one-dimensional digital replica — My Home My Style is packed with layers of information that let you delve into any idea you’re interested in. For example, you can watch video overviews of articles, explore full-room transformations through panoramic room views, expand details with pop-ups, and click through step-by-step photo sequences.

Currently, you can read three free issues of the DemiZine on MyHomeMyStyle.com. It is, however, designed for the iPad — stay tuned for the launch of the app in early 2014.

Encore, encore! In addition to the DemiZine, the website includes a photo gallery showcasing beauty shots, from which you can share ideas through social media. And staff members post behind-the-scenes insights, additional ideas, and featured content on the My Home My Style blog. Plus, you can sign up to receive eNotes — quick project ideas delivered via email every Friday. With a free account, you can save your favorite bits and pieces from every branch to come back to later.

Explore everything the brand has to offer, and have fun using what you learn to make your home your style.
