Securing a small nail can be a tricky (and sometimes painful) task. That’s why we use a simple trick for getting the nail started.
Cardboard Cure. Just poke the nail through a scrap of cardboard first. The cardboard will keep the nail in place and upright. Then, after getting the nail started with your hammer, you can simply rip the cardboard free from the nail.
