A super-sized wall clock provides a dramatic way to dress up a wall. This one is easy to make using fabric, a frame, wooden numbers, and a clock movement.
Inspired Style. A piece of fabric provided the inspiration for our clock. Its bold colors and playful numerals make a strong statement.
We cut a piece of hardboard to fit inside the frame, and then glued on the fabric using spray adhesive. As we applied the fabric, we carefully smoothed out the wrinkles.
Next, we purchased a large clock movement and centered the mounting plate in the frame. We marked the position with painter’s tape, and then attached the plate with carpet tape and short screws.
We painted four wooden numbers with lime green paint to match the fabric. Then we mounted all of the components on the wall for a stunning display.
